You’ll notice I like to keep things super minimal and there’s a reason for that. It keeps the focus entirely on what matters: the tiny eyelashes, the flaky newborn skin and those delicate features. No props, no clutter, just your baby as you remember them. 🤍

I realised I’ve never properly shared the story behind my business name...
Before photography, I was an Art and Photography teacher at a high school. I left teaching during the Covid lockdown so I could be at home with my girls.
As I started thinking about what came next, I spent my days documenting our lockdown adventures and sharing photos on Facebook using the hashtag #mychaptertwo.
I’d actually started my business as Capture Studios, but it never really felt like me. Then one day, it clicked — this wasn’t just a business, it was my Chapter Two.
A new career. A new beginning. A chance to build something centred around storytelling, family and memories.
And now I get to capture your chapters too 🤍

The first part of preparing your preview gallery i

The first part of preparing your preview gallery is the cull. This is where I rotate any images that need it and carefully select the very best photographs from your session to curate your preview gallery.

Next comes the editing. I start by perfecting a handful of images, adjusting the light, contrast, shadows, blacks and tones, whilst adding a little extra warmth. Once I’m happy with the overall look and feel, I sync these edits across the gallery to create a beautiful, consistent flow.

Then comes the time-consuming part! I go back through every single image individually, making any additional tweaks needed to ensure each photograph looks its absolute best. ✨

It’s a labour of love, but it’s all part of creating a gallery you’ll treasure for years to come. 🤍

5 years ago, I walked away from a career I had poured my heart and soul into.

Overnight, everything changed… and I found myself starting again, with no clear plan and no idea where I was heading.

Life has a funny way of throwing the biggest curveballs when you least expect it — but I truly believe it’s in those moments you have to stop, listen, and trust where you’re being guided.

Now, my mornings look a little different… school drop-offs, a quiet walk through these beautiful paths, birds singing, sunshine on my face… before heading into the studio to do something I absolutely love 🤍

And honestly? I wouldn’t change it for the world.
