My studio is nestled in a quiet part of leafy Wilmslow in East Cheshire, just minutes from the A34 bypass and the motorway. Easy to reach, and with space to park, my clients come from Cheadle, Stockport, Manchester and throughout Cheshire and the North West, not just Wilmslow and Alderley Edge.

I’ve not posted in ages…. The algorithm will hate me 😂

I’m super swamped in studio and Christmas shoots at the moments. November diary is closed and I’m considering closing December too. ##if you are thinking of a shoot before Xmas please do get into asap and I’ll see what I’ve got time for..

January is also starting to fill up, so again if your a due in January or wanting to book a cakesmash or maternity session, I’d suggest getting booked in and not leaving it to the last minute 🥰🥰

Concerned your baby might be unsettled during the shoot? I’ve got a few tips to help calm them down:

👶 Swaddling mimics the womb and can help a baby to feel safe
👶 Gentle background noises are perfect at soothing fussy babies
👶 Feeding and cuddle breaks will allow your little one the time and space they need

And finally, try to stay calm. Babies pick up on energy so staying relaxed will work wonders!

I also leave plenty of time for your session, especially Newborn sessions. I’ll never rush and I’m am very very patient and super chill!

Why? Because they tell me when your baby needs a break, cuddle or feed. And by responding to them, your little one stays comfortable and relaxed.

Last month, I had the pleasure of welcoming this beautiful family and their new baby Pippa, and it’s got to be one of my favourite sessions to date.

I first met Mum Lucy in January when she came over to the studio for a meeting. Lucy is a copy writer (very talented!) Over the last 6-9 months Lucy has transformed how I tackle my admin and socials. I’m dyslexic, so writing anything just fills me with dread 😱it was slowing me down and was a constant worry.

When she came into the studio and asked for a decaf coffee and announced she was 7 weeks pregnant.. i knew she was the lady for me! Meeting Lucy was the best this I did for my business this year for sure.. so welcoming Lucy, husband Johnny and baby Pippa was my absolute pleasure.. Just look at these gorgeous sneak peeks! 😍

It’s moments like these that make my job so special. What do you think?!

Cakesmash sessions are a 3 part process:

📸Clean portraits
🎂Cakesmash
🛁 Splash in the bath tub

I provide everything including the cake..

But did you know, if the messy cakesmash isn’t for you.. I also offer a cake-less session.
These sessions are shorter but still as sweet, we focus on the clean portraits 🥰

I absolutely love this pose during a cakesmash or cake-less session! Babies turning one love to pull them selves up onto furniture to stand, during your session I’ll bring in a stool and allow your baby to pull them selves up.. this is usually followed by a very proud smile! 😊

📸Does age matter for your milestone sessions??

Yes and no… For newborns, typically I like to get them into the studio for around 10-20 days old. There is more of a chance of getting those curled up sleepy shots. But, if you miss this milestone, an older awake newborn session is just as lovely, especially if they are starting to make eye contact with you and maybe even smiles 🥰

I’ll never push anyone into a pose they don’t want to do, siblings included.. I do have a few tricks up my sleeve though to encourage them.. and as a last resort I can do a composite!
