Today’s gorgeous girl first came to me as a baby… and today I’m setting up the studio to welcome her back for her 3rd birthday shoot 🥹

5 years ago, I walked away from a career I had poured my heart and soul into.

Overnight, everything changed… and I found myself starting again, with no clear plan and no idea where I was heading.

Life has a funny way of throwing the biggest curveballs when you least expect it — but I truly believe it’s in those moments you have to stop, listen, and trust where you’re being guided.

Now, my mornings look a little different… school drop-offs, a quiet walk through these beautiful paths, birds singing, sunshine on my face… before heading into the studio to do something I absolutely love 🤍

And honestly? I wouldn’t change it for the world.

So many mums tell me they simply want to remember this chapter; to celebrate what their bodies have done, growing and nurturing a tiny miracle. Pregnancy can feel long in the moment, but it passes so quickly, and these photos become such a special reminder of that incredible journey. ✨

Best time for maternity shoots are between 30-35 weeks… but in reality this month I’ve have so many come at 38/39 weeks after a last minute change of heart! 💓

Before she becomes a big sister 🤍

One of my favourite parts of maternity sessions is making space for this chapter too… just mama and her first baby, soaking each other in before everything changes.

This session was completely relaxed and led by her toddler. No pressure to pose. No expectations. Just cuddles with mummy, little nose kisses, baby songs, giggles, games and those quiet in-between moments that mean the most.

We let her lead. We played. We sang. We paused when needed.

Because this season matters too.

These sessions are such a special milestone and it’s lovely to capture you all together as well as celebrating your little one turning one.

My top tip? Choose the Timeless White backdrop. It gives us more space, keeps everything clean and classic. We always start with the family portraits first while everyone is fresh… then we move onto the fun 🎂

If there’s a toddler sibling who’s starting to get a little fed up, don’t worry — there’s a lovely footpath nearby where one parent can take them for a little wander. It gives them a reset and allows baby to enjoy their Cake Smash without too many distractions.

Relaxed, natural, and completely stress-free — just how it should be 🤍
